TONY DANZA est né Antonio Salvatore Iadanza, le samedi 21 avril 1951 à Brooklyn, New York (USA). Yeux bruns, cheveux noirs. 1,75 m. Père Matty garagiste , mère Anne, une aide-comptable.
Quand il était plus âgé, la famille a déménagé à Long Island, où il a finalement obtenu son diplôme de High School Malverne. TONY a obtenu un baccalauréat en enseignement de l'histoire de l'Université de Dubuque,et y a même obtenu une bourse pour son sport favori , la boxe .Le 13 août 1976, il a commencé sa carrière de boxe professionnelle. Peu de temps, il a été découvert par un producteur dans un gymnase de boxe à New York.Et il entrera dans le monde du spectacle.
Puis viendra "Madame est servie" (1984) pour huit saisons et sa sympathique naïveté sera mondialement connue.
Il a également joué dans la série comique "Hudson Street" (1995) et "The Tony Danza Show" (1997), pour lequel il a été producteur exécutif. on a pu le voir aussi à la télévision opposé à George C. Scott et Jack Lemmon dans le remake du film classique de Douze Hommes en Colère (1997).Tony a obtenu deux nominations aux Globe d'Or pour le meilleur acteur dans une série comique . Tony gagne lui-même assez d'influence pour devenir un producteur exécutif avec sa propre société de production, conduisant à de nombreuses émissions spéciales pour la télévision
Au théâtre ,"Wrong Turn" à Lungfish lui a valu une nomination aux Outer Critics Circle Award. Le cinéma a peu fait appel à lui : UNE ÉQUIPE AUX ANGES (1994), Touche pas à ma fille (1989), , Glam (1997) et Illtown (1996). Il a également écrit, réalisé et joué dans le court métrage Mamamia (1998) . Divorcé de : Rhonda Yeoman (1971/1974). Un fils : Marc Anthony (1971).
